| Beer-Runners guide to Bootlegging |
 |
OVERVIEW: The main goal of Beer-Runners.com is to become the most dominant bootlegger in your city or even the world! Do you go it alone? Do you join a gang? Or do you assemble your own group of prospective hustlers and run your own family? It's up to you! One thing is for sure; to climb up the ranks you will need to accumulate an army. The better you arm your defensive units, the stronger they will be for the fights that are sure to come!
TURNS: Everything you do in Beer-Runners.com requires turns. At the start of each round you will have a certain amount of turns ready to use, this will vary depending on the type of round it is. You will also have a set quantity of reserve turns,… again this will vary from round to round. You can use these reserves at any time during the round. Turns will also be added every 10 minutes at a set rate until the maximum is reached. You should log in regularly to use your turns before this happens to avoid losing any accrual. Ran out of reserves & Turns? You can purchase credits.
ROUNDS: A round lasts 7-30 days. The amount of turns you get every 10 minutes will differ from round to round, as will the max turns you can hold at any one time and the amount of reserves or credits you can hold. Some rounds are special and in these you can win various prizes or credits.
CREDITS: You can purchase credits. 1 credit = 1 turn. Credits will be stored in your account and you can allocate them to whatever round(s) you want to use them in, subject to the max credits allowed for that particular round. You do not need to purchase credits to play the game but if you do, you will become a supporter. This will give you the opportunity to take part in special supporter only rounds. Remember that it's supporters that fund the game, without them it would not exist!
OPERATIVE / DEFENSIVE UNITS: Bootleggers are your main source of income, basically the more operative units you have, the more money you will earn.Hustlers are your fighting force. Arm your defensive units with weapons & rides to beat down your opponents.
HAPPINESS: The happiness rating of your bootleggers and hustlers is critical, if either drops too low then they will leave you. hustlers are basically happy enough if they have weapons to fight with. Keep your bootleggers happy by ensuring they have a stock of alcohol & meds and have a supply of crack. In the game everything you need can be purchased.
SCOUTING: You can scout with as many turns at a time as you wish(up to the set amount), when you scout your hustlers will seek out more operatives or defensive units to join you. Choosing a formula is not an easy task. Just get out there and test a few formulas and find out which is best.
PROTECTION: While scouting you get protection. For every turn you scout, you get 1 sec of protection. So if you use 20 turns to scout, you get... 20 secs. You can scout up to 1000 turns at a shot, but that does not mean you get 300 secs. The max is 60 secs. Now after you spin again, and lets say you use 30 turns, you automatically drop down to 30 secs. The secs do not add up!
TRAVEL: There is more than 1 city in Beer-Runners, you can stay in one or you can move around. It will cost money to move though. Rides will lower the cost of traveling as you will get 5 units in 1 ride.
STORE: Here is where you can spend all your hard earned money! Everything you need can be purchased here, you can enter the quantities you want or simply click on the button to the left to purchase the maximum you can afford. Short of cash? RANKS: How are you doing? Check out where you are in the rankings. Here you will find the rankings for the city you are currently in. there are also Global rankings and family rankings.
ATTACKING: There are various ways of attacking. Each attack requires 2 turns. You can run up in a players HQ, you will need guns for this, you will also take casualties. Better guns = lower casualties. If you have rides you can do a drive by, this will do more damage to the enemy and you will lose less defensive units. 5 units can ride in 1 ride. As you attack your bootlegger happiness will decrease, be careful not to leak! You can attack other players up to double your size.
STEALING: If a Hustlers operatives / defensive units are unhappy, you can steal them by throwing moonshine/beer at them. You can also steal rides on a one on one basis i.e. if you have 1 ride you can "jack" 1, if you have 100 rides …you will jack 100 etc… Stealing also requires 2 turns each.
FAMILYS:Familys are where you can join up with other Runners in an attempt to dominate. Most rounds will allow a maximum of up to 10-20 per family although some rounds may differ in maximum family size.
